ZTE and China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting have launched the U728 TD-SCDMA TV handset to coincide with the start of the Olympic Games in China. The TD-SCDMA TV handset supports China Mobile’s mobile TV technology and will be available in the domestic market in time for the Beijing Olympic Games. The ZTE handset is equipped with a 2.8-inch TFT LCD monitor and various 3G services such as Wap, MMS, Java and video streaming. The phone supports internet browsing and live TV broadcasting at a maximum speed of 512 Kbps. The handset is equipped with a built-in Ultra High Frequency telescopic antenna that rotates 360 degrees to maintain high accuracy for channel reception and low frame error ratio. The U728 features hot keys to play TV programmes and pre-set and switch TV channels to save users time on downloading and buffer loading, and supports enhanced user interaction with TV programmes by allowing them to send programme enquiry, receive and forward programme details via SMS. ZTE’s U728 TV handset uses dual-mode technology that supports TD-SCDMA and GSM+CMMB. (52RD.com) |
