The Evaluation Edition software enables you to build Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 1-based operating systems for 120 days from the day of installation.

Instructions1. Select either "Open" or "Save" from the dialog box. If you wish to run the installation locally, please click "Save".
2. You will be prompted to obtain a registration key for your product. You have the option of performing this task later in the installation.
3. Select any of the three options available to you from the dialog box -- tools-only installation, database-only or tools and database to a single computer. The tool will display any of these options which are already installed on your machine, to allow you to quickly find the items you are missing.
4. You will have the option of selecting a download location; it will otherwise default to your temporary files folder.
5. Click "download" to start the download process.
6. Once download is complete, the installation folder (\Program Files\Windows Embedded\Installer) will open automatically, providing you the ability to start the Windows XP Embedded Setup process.
7. Click on setup.exe in either the Disk 1 folder (if you downloaded the tools-only, or the tools & database) or Disk 2 (if you downloaded only the database).
8. If you have not yet registered your product (per Step 2), you will be prompted to do so at this point in time. Failing to register your product will result in you being unable to run the Windows XP Embedded tools.
